I know that Lindsay Lohan adores Chanel. I'm also pretty positive that she wouldn't turn down a Chanel modelling gig, but I had a nagging feeling there was another reason why Lindsay would kiss Karl Lagerfeld's emaciated, old cheek. My question was finally answered on the 4th episode of Signe Chanel. While Vogue's Anna Wintour and editor-at-large, Andre Talley Leon, were visiting Lagerfeld's office for a preview of some of the pieces from Chanel's Fall/Winter 2004-2005 show (or whatever they were doing there) Andre picked up a gaudy looking square that looked like costume jewelry. Then he realized that it was a ring! Lagerfeld responded:

"It is a ring and you put things like cocaine, condoms and things like that..."

For years I wished I had a secret place in my shoes or clothes to stash my ID, credit card, and car key when I went out dancing. Nowadays models and starlets have a ring to stash their necessities. I'm jealous. I bet Karl gave Lindsay a lifetime supply.
