The problem with metallics and sequins is that they can age you. (See above) It's important to get a dress in a modern cut or one that isn't too sparkly. Below we have LL looking twice her age. She should wait until her career is almost over and she gets a Vegas act (if she's really lucky) to wear sequins. Life & Style focused on sequins this week in their Fashion Week page. If Sarah Jessica Parker's dress had a modern cut it would look good on a thirtysomething. I don't like the juxtaposition of sequins and a shift dress. Renee Zellweger and Hilary Duff look the best. Gray isn't the best color for Renee, but her dress is interesting and elegant. It's a great dress shape if you're petite like Eva Longoria or Reese Witherspoon. Hilary should have had less sparkly accessories and a simpler hair style. All of that is competing with her dress. The dress shows that it is possible to find a youthful sequin dress.
