Proof That LL is in Rehab -- Updated

Splash News allegedly has the first image of Lindsay Lohan at Promises in Malibu and TMZ is reporting that LL was driven to the rehab center on Monday by her lawyer, Blair Berk . I guess even rehab seems like a vacation in lieu of dealing with even more paps than usual, possible DUI and drug possession charges, and people watching your every move--LL couldn't drink or powder her nose without someone reporting her to the tabloids. Poor LL had to go to Teddy's and get as inebriated as possible to stomach going to rehab the next day. Celebrities really need luxurious hideouts where they can detox and pretend to rehab if they have no intention of being sober. There wouldn't be mandatory group therapy or anything else that would upset their sensitive egos.

Updated

via TMZ:

A rep for Lindsay Lohan issued the following statement:

"Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."

How freakin' SAD that LL was taken to rehab by her *lawyer*. Seriously... girl prolly has a buttload of cash, is totally beautiful, and has the potential to be a very successful actress -- but just that statement alone shows me how very lonely and alone she must feel. Her parents have pretty much whored her out to stardom (whether or not she agreed to it really doesn't matter, they were the "adults" guiding her growing up). I have to wonder if I, too, wouldn't have turned to drinking my face off night after night, or blow, or whatever else to fill that emptiness. It's really SAD. I hope that LL really does get help in rehab -- so many people who need help don't get that golden opportunity that she's getting. I never thought I'd say something like this, but I'm pulling for L. Wow.
