Toast is a great restaurant. If only faux actors and actresses would stay away. Lauren Conrad is not a faux actress--well, maybe she is since she's on The Hills reality show. When I walked past her lunching at Toast the day before her fashion show, I found it very interesting that she looked exactly like she does on television. That's a rarity since film can change the size of just about every part of your body. Anyway, that's all that was interesting. Oh, I like her hair shorter, but of course she wore extensions for her fashion show--why??? Her collection is decent and wearable, but not edgy. Lauren said she was inspired by her time in Paris, which I think showed a little. The outfit below (modelled by the runner-up of last season's ANTM, Chantal Jones) is one that I could see a French woman wearing, but many other of the dresses seemed very So Cal. The collection was co-designed by Tart's designer.
