Summer Reading Giveway and BAT's Picks

Part of: Literati

I bought Real Simple the other day for their great organizational tips. Yep, I'm trying to get more organized. Did you know that I've been typing up my trip packing lists? This also helps if the airline loses your luggage.

Real Simple had a section where famous authors named some great books for summer reading. None of these books seemed like beach or pool reading, so I've come up with my own shortlist. But even better than my list is this giveaway. Three lucky readers will win New York Times bestselling author Emily Giffiin's newest book, Love the One You're With that poses the questions: "How do you know if you’ve found the one? Can you really love the one you’re with when you can’t forget the one who got away?" But you'll also receive her other popular books, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof. How often do you finish reading a book and then want to read everything else by the same author? This fabulous Giveaway ends Friday, June 13 @ 6 pm PST.

Food: Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell (by a very funny blogger)
Shopping: Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella (read this before the movie comes out with Isla Fisher)
Autobiography: Audition by Barbara Walters ( I haven't read this yet, but what's not to like?)
Literary: A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemmingway (a must for writers and lovers of Paris)
Spiritual: The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle
Non-Fiction: What Would Audrey Do? by Pamela Keogh
Anytime: When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris

I have the same affliction! I must read an author's other works. I've never read any of Griffen's work. Love S. Kinsella for superficial fluff to decompress with after a long day.

Consider me entered -- I am ready for good summer reading.

Ugh! 'Tis my curse! I can't STOP reading. Anything and everything! It takes me hours to get out of any bookstore.

love your book selection! would love to be entered

Audrey H and I thank you for the mention -- I also loved Tolle's book...

Jane Heller has excellent books for summer reading! Try her.
