I’m glad that actresses are fighting back against the UK tabloids, though I’m surprised that Kate Hudson out of all the skinny actresses was the one to sue. Why hasn’t Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan or Kate Bosworth sued anyone? They’re written about all the time. I guess Kate is more sensitive.

Hudson had sued the UK Enquirer magazine over the article which appeared last October under the headline "Goldie Tells Kate: Eat Something!" Her lawyer, Simon Smith, told Britain's High Court the story and pictures implied Hudson had "recklessly and foolishly endangered her health by deliberately starving herself." One photograph "purported to show Ms Hudson as very frail and gaunt in appearance," he said, although the magazine had on other occasions printed photos taken weeks before and after, describing her as looking "stunning" and "great." Wait, all gossip magazines do that. However, I do find it rude that they brought Kate’s mama, Goldie Hawn, into the story even though what she supposedly said was completely unbelievable. The magazine is now going to pay Kate Hudson an undisclosed sum and print an apology. I wish that Kate would give her settlement to a charity for women with eating disorders, but she’ll most likely use it to pay her personal trainers or her not eating coach.
