[Breakfast: leftover pizza from Jones Hollywood]

Star Magazine did a list a few months back about where to go to find the stars in L.A. I can't even remember where they said except for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Sunset. Boring. That's so obvious. The stars are everywhere. Urth Caffe on Melrose or Beverly Dr. is a better bet. I always see indie filmstars at Real Food Daily on La Cienega. Last time I was there, Jason Schwartzman and Zooey Deschanel were hanging out.

The Ivy on Robertson is tres pretentious and might have been on Star's list because it's beyond obvious. Sure Jessica Simpson was there the other day in the shortest skirt in existence, but what regular person wants to try to get reservations at The Ivy, much less expect to get a good table? Jessica's back was to everyone, anyway. Go across the street to The Newsroom where the hip stars dine sans attitude.

Sunday night, I watched "A Very Long Engagement" at The Regent Theatre on La Brea. Leonardo DiCaprio was there. Stars go to the movies all the time. DiCaprio seemed like a regular kid having fun with his friends. He wasn't self-consciously glancing around to see who recognized him. This is the environment you want to see stars in. Later at Jones Hollywood, I watched Tricky flirt with a hottie while excitedly waving his cast and splinted finger.

Jessica Biel was walking her dog near the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica recently. She looked normal, and we smiled at each other when it became apparent that her dog was walking her. I had the perfect view of Justin Theroux and his father(?) brunching at Santa Monica's Bread and Porridge on a weekday a couple weeks past.

Vinnie Marino, Annie Carpenter and Seane Corn's classes at Yoga Works on Montana/Main St are star studded. I've taken classes with David Duchovny and Dylan Mc Dermott there. Sacred Movement on Main St. is also good for celebrity gazing. Minnie Driver was recently in Micheline Berry's class. Robert Downey Jr. has been spotted at Stella Valente's yoga class at Equinox on Sunset. Nicole Kidman even dropped in for a spin class there the other week.

Wally's Wine on Westwood Blvd. is favored by celebs. Ben Stiller even gets his monthly supply of sodas from there. Not sure why he doesn't get them from Costco, but I guess that's the beauty of having fuck off money.
