Stylish hipsters like Ashley Olsen, Kate Moss, and magazine editor (father to Lila Grace) Jefferson Hack shop at James Pearse--the store known for its incredibly soft cotton shirts. I own two dresses by James Pearse that I wear almost daily in the summer. You can buy this brand online, but if you live in LA, go to their architectural flagship store on Melrose Ave. that's practically across the street from the Olsens favorite haunt Maxfield. The Malibu James Pearse store is lacking in customer service and the store in the Brentwood Country Mart is kind of small, though the staff is helpful. It's really a great store to pick up some basics and good for beach and travel wear.
