Just yesterday Paris was a carefree heiress getting paid an obscene amount of money for promoting the sparkling wine Rich Prosecco in Munich. Little did she know that today The Los Angeles City Attorney would file 2 misdemeanor charges against her for driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08. The worst thing that could happen to her as a first time offender is paying a $1,000 fine and/or spending six months in jail. I’m sure she’ll just have to pay the measly fine, get some counseling, and be on probation for a minimal amount of time. However, this will pose a threat to Paris’ film career. It’s more difficult and more costly to insure a star with a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
